Jim Bilello, President and Founder of US Marketing, Inc., Chicago

 

Jim Bilello has more than 15 years of experience in segment marketing. This encompasses teen, college, young adult, Hispanic, African-American, and Asian consumers. This includes first hand national marketing experience with clients such as MasterCard, Cingular Wireless, POLO Jeans Co., Sprite, Levis, GM, Target, JP Morgan Chase Bank, McDonald’s, Columbia Films, New Line Cinema, Buena Vista (Disney), Lions Gate Films, Aetna, Unilever, Budweiser, Columbia House, Sears, DELL, Microsoft, Nielsen Media Research, and Bacardi USA to name only a few.

 

Integrated marketing development, planning, and execution across a variety of media (print, Internet, broadcast, outdoor/signage) and grassroots/guerilla, and promotion platforms are all within Jim’s scope and experience both with his own company in the Chicago area and in executive positions he has held at Clear Channel Communications, Alloy/360Youth/CASS Communications, and for New Line Cinema, Lions Gate Films, Sony (Columbia Films), Twentieth Century Fox, and Buena Vista (Disney, Touchstone, Hollywood) as well as Miramax studios for the promotion and distribution of feature films on college campuses nationwide.

 

Jim started a national college cable television network while at Films Inc./Public Media in Chicago and developed it to the point where over 250 colleges and over 2 million students were viewing super-premium movie channels watching films day and date with their home video release fully 6 months before HBO, Showtime and other premium channels broadcast them.

 

Jim is a founding member of the Assoc. of Higher Education College Television Administrators (AHECTA), and has been active in the Assoc. of College Unions Intl. (ACUI), Assoc. of College and University Housing Officers (ACUHO), Assoc. of College and University Telecommunications Administrators (ACUTA), National Assoc. of Campus Activities (NACA), and Assoc. of Collegiate Press and College Media Advisors (ACP/CMA).

 

Having actually worked on a variety of college campuses as a professional promotion and event advisor employed by a variety of small and large colleges and universities gives Jim a network of contacts and a feel for campus marketing that few others posses. A Master of Science degree with concentrations in business and marketing as well as a recent Northwestern University Kellogg Graduate School of Business Management Executive program in New Product Development round out Jim's formal education.

 

Jim has served on the FDIC/Mexican Consulate’s New Alliance Task Force in Chicago. Since its inception two years ago the Task Force has explored and pioneered new banking products and procedures for working with Hispanic consumers that have never had a banking relationship. The Task Force also develops and executes Hispanic consumer financial education methods and practices to help these new banking customers successfully master and mainstream into modern banking services. As a direct result of these activities over 150,000 new Hispanic consumer retail bank accounts have been opened with an average balance of $2,000 and a total of over $300 million in new deposits in the Chicago area alone!

 

As founder and President of US Marketing, Inc. in Chicago Jim continues to work with Hollywood studios and national consumer clients to produce a variety of multi-level integrated marketing programs including both media and promotions, and consults and represents clients in segment marketing including Aetna, Chase Bank, Dell, Microsoft, and Nielsen Media Research in Hispanic, African-American, Asian and college publications and promotions nation wide.
